We’re pleased to announce a new title, The 30-Day Engagement, by Waverly Decker. Emory Jordan, a venture capitalist struggling with how much she’s internalized her toxic workplace, receives a wedding invitation from her ex-fiancée, who left Emory for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Emory has been neglecting her love life in favor of her career, so finding a date seems impossible — until she meets Bliss Tully, a down-on-her-luck designer who’s got a knack for accidentally stabbing a pretty lady with a cactus. These two seeming opposites team up to fake their own engagement, and find out they have a lot in common after all in this slow-burn romance. The 30-Day Engagement will publish February 14, 2023. We’ll also publish Girl Gets Ghosted, a novella set in the same world, about what happens when a lonely woman pushes the wrong button in a dating app (publication date to be announced).
Waverly Decker is a writer, editor, and (most importantly) reader of books of all kinds. The 30-Day Engagement, about two women who fake a relationship so that one can succeed in business—and also show her ex-fiancée that she has finally moved on after being unceremoniously dumped—is her debut novel. She lives in New York. She’s also the author of a novella: Girl Gets Ghosted. You can visit her online and sign up for new book alerts at waverlydecker.com.
